Guitar Héro!

NOTE: This IS a Re-Post...

Bernie Tormé Is Probably BEST Known For His Guitar Work With GILLAN...
But, Back In The '80s, He Put Together a Band Called The Electric Gypsies!
AND, He Toured, As The Replacement (NOTE: NOT The Right Word I'm Lookin' For, BUT, You KNOW What I Mean...) For Randy Rhodes (Briefly) Before Brad Gillis Took Over on OZZY's Diary Of A MadMan Tour!

Recorded By The BBC for Their IN CONCERT Series...
This Is a FM Radio Broadcast!
Live From London's Paris Theatre - 1982.
The Electric Gypsies Were a Three (3) Piece Band (Counting Bernie!) And They Remind Me Of The Kinda Music The Jon Butcher Axis Was Makin' Around The Same Time...
Strong Guitar Blues-Based Rock!
Also, Has Great Vocals And Songs - NOT Just Excuses for Guitar Solos, BUT "Real" Songs!
Short But Very Strong Set!
Big THANKS To PE_35 for Postin' This Show @ G101...All I Did Was Put Together The Artwork...

Great - Thanks for this. Bernie is back in a 3 piece these days called GMT with John McCoy (from Gillan) and mad drummer Robin Guy. They are superb live !

Niiiiice post!! I've got several Torme discs but not this 'un. After he bagged the power trio bit he formed Torme with Phil Lewis (ex-Girl, next-LA Guns) and did a couple of fine albums (BACK TO BABYLON, 'specially!) I always thought Ozzy should've stuck with him; I think he could've really kept up the excitement level that the Rhoads albums had. The Gillan albums he was on were completely bad-ass! Thanks!

hi from Canada,

first, i love your blog since the beginning.

myself i collect rare audio tapes since 25 years now.

i don't have my own blog but i post some rarities (fm concerts or audience or albums/cd's) but not very often, i post these in different blogs where i think the owner and/or people who download there will be interested.

i've post in guitars101.com this item of Bernie Torme.

this is rare of course and also some of the other versions i seen don't have included in that the guitar solo .

i've post this one july 7th and after that you've post the same item july 15th with of course also a photo/artwork for this.

i've download your version...the edit of the songs are exactly the same and also the guitar solo included except that my files were wave and yours mp3.

even for sure all the recordings we are interested are public domain/music heritage but maybe it was required to tells THANKS TO PE_35 (it's my pseudonym in guitars101) .

bring courtesy about the tapes we can find somewhere else can be a good thing, even not so much people know me, you just can tells me thank you.

i never took another item in another blog to post it again (some people make it just repost it if the link is dead for sure) .

after that , july 25th D and P bootleg Tunz put the same item with your artwork...no problem, maybe he can also tells me thank you but i now write to you because you're the first who post it after me .

hope you can answer me something when you have time.

and don't forget, i'm now not mad at you , i just tell you my opinion and continue your good work .

thanks
